How to create an FTP account Print

Need to give someone access to your site without sharing your cPanel login? No problem! Here’s how to create an FTP account:

1. Log in to your cPanel.
   
   
2. Go to the Files section and click on FTP Accounts.
   
   
3. In the Add FTP Account area, fill in the required fields: username, password, and directory access.
   
   
4. Click Create FTP Account. You’ll see a confirmation message saying “Account Created”.
   
   

Creating Additional FTP Accounts

Sometimes you need multiple FTP accounts—for example, if a developer needs to update your site without touching your cPanel. Repeat the steps above to create as many FTP accounts as you need.
