Changing the resource size of a hosting account in WHM is done by moving the account to a different package. This applies whether you are increasing or reducing the resources.
To Upgrade an Account
- First, create a new package with higher resources than the customer’s current plan.
- Log into WHM and go to List Accounts.
- Locate the account you want to upgrade and click the plus (+) icon beside it.
- From the options that appear, select Change Plan.
- Choose the newly created higher package and save your changes.
The account will immediately receive the new resource limits.
To Downgrade an Account
- Create a new package with lower resources than the current one.
- Go to List Accounts inside WHM.
- Click the plus (+) icon beside the account you want to downgrade.
- Select Change Plan from the dropdown.
- Pick the lower package and save your changes.
The hosting account will now operate with reduced resources according to the new plan.
