LVM (Logical Volume Management) provides logical management of filesystems in Linux. LVM is not supported as a bootable partitioning scheme. VSIs cannot be ordered with LVM and importing images that use LVM as a boot partition will fail to provision. If you require LVM on the boot partition our bare metal offering does support LVM on boot for certain operating systems. You can create secondary partitions on VSIs that use LVM from the OS.
