You can point your domain name registered with us to your website created with Shopify manually adding its A and CNAME records. To achieve this without a hosting account, your domain nameservers must point to our default nameservers (nsa.whogohost.com and nsb.whogohost.com), please follow these steps:

 

  1. Sign in to your client area
  2. Click on Domains -> Manage DNS on the secondary menu bar

  3. You may click the Add zone button to add a zone. (If you have already added a zone, you may click the Edit link to manage the zone).

    or

  4. Click on Add Record
  5. To use Shopify you will need to delete the existing A records for the root domain and the WWW using the trash icon next to each record and use the following DNS settings.
    • Your A record should point to Shopify's IP address, which is 23.227.38.65
    • Your CNAME record for the WWW should point to shops.myshopify.com
  1. Click on Save Changes.

Pointing your domain to Shopify account via Cpanel account, please follow these steps:

1.In the Domains section, click on Zone Editor to manage the DNS of your domain.

2.Once you are in, click on Manage.

3.Click on Add Record

Enter the records below in the appropriate fields

  • Name: Enter Your domain name or the value given to you for this.
  • TTL: 14400
  • Type: i.e CNAME for the domain name, and A record for the www.domainnname.com.
  • Record: Enter the code or destination of the record added

5.Click on the ADD RECORD button to submit


You will see a message that the record type has been added successfully.

Wait 30 minutes for the records to be accepted and proceed with adding the domain name in your Shopify account.
