If you already have an active hosting account, you can activate Website Builder by adding it to your hosting service.
Website Builder works alongside your hosting account and connects to the domain linked to that hosting service. Before activating it, review what Website Builder is designed for to confirm it meets your needs.
Step 1: Confirm your hosting is active
Before activating Website Builder, ensure:
- Your hosting account is active
- Your domain is assigned to the hosting service
- You can access your client area
Website Builder cannot be used without an active hosting account.
Step 2: Add a Website Builder package
If Website Builder is not already included in your hosting plan, you will need to add it as a package.
To do this:
- Log in to your client area
- Go to Hosting & Services
- Select the hosting account connected to your domain
- Locate the option to add or activate Website Builder
- Select a Website Builder package and complete the activation process
If you are unsure which plan to choose, you can compare the available Website Builder packages. If your needs change later, you can always upgrade your Website Builder package later.
Step 3: Access the Website Builder editor
Once Website Builder has been activated:
- Go to your hosting service in the client area
- Select the domain associated with Website Builder
- Click Edit Site
This will launch the Website Builder editor in your browser, where you can begin building your website.
To begin editing at any time, you can access Website Builder from your client area.
Important notes
- Your hosting account must remain active for Website Builder to function
- The domain must be properly connected to your hosting service
- Changes made in the editor are not live until you publish your website
